Thank you for this site.
I really apreciate your work and now, thanks to you,

Hi Stefan, awesome list has given me loads of ideas!
Another few maybe worth a look:
- Dunkirk with John Mills;
- I was Montys Double (interesting story);
- They who Dare;
- The Long the Short and the Tall (set in Burma);
- Above us the Waves;
- Cockleshell Heroes;
- Catch 22;
- The Pianist (fantastic);
- Tuskegee Airmen;
- Return from the River Kwai;
- Adolf Hitler: My part in his Downfall (mostly about training);
- The Caine Mutiny.
Keep up the brilliant work, I made a list of movies to watch from yours!
Thanks, Jim (Europe)

Stefan:
Thanks for the prospects list.
I am always seeking for old and new movies to come out on DVD (preferably Zone 1).
Believe me I have a long and non-exhaustive wish list.
Your nice words are appreciated, and I am glad that my videotheque stimulates yours.
Enjoy the pop-corn!

Hi mate,
I have just watched the opening of "Dresden" you posted on youtube
and discovered your ww2 movie collection.
By any chance, do you have a dvdrip of Dresden since I cannot find it
anywhere with English subtitles?
Thanks.
Jason (Europe)

Stefan:
I am submerged with this kind of request that unfortunately I cannot
satisfy because I do respect artwork and related copyrights. All my DVD
are original copies, and Dresden was purchased at Amazon.com.
Your email revealing that you live in Europe, I suggest that you visit
your national Amazon where you might find "Dresden" available as a US
import (region 1) with english captioning, or maybe on eBay.
Hope you keep enjoying my web page as a refence guide.

Hi Stefan,
Just for you to know I couldn't see "Come and see" from Elem Klimov.
The movie is about the partisan fight against the German army in Belorussia.
Very nice list by the way.
Regards,
Kame (UK)

Stefan:
Thanks for the input.
Indeed this one is a must see.
Very dark and in the pure tradition of Russian filmaking.
Last time for me was from a bad quality VHS rental.
Hopefully, will soon add a DVD version to my collection.
If you like this one, give a look at "The Star" 2002 (Zvezda in Russian)
Priviet!

Hello Stefan,
In the "Gung Ho!" opening video, at 3:33, does the man say "sparking"?
Thanks,
Kelly (UK)

Stefan:
Sounds indeed like "I was sparking one of the gal".
They had plenty of "colorful" expression back in the 40's.
This one is "swell" like John (the Duke) Wayne would say!
Greetings from Canada!
